“By their fruits yee shall know them.” A biblical principle that indicates if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, it’s must be a duck. Right? And, nothing else.
Therefore, to apply this principle to what is heard and notice from Texas Governor Rick Perry he’s is definitely a duck with a killer instinct and nothing more. Even though professes to be a religious person, his actions and verbiage betrays him. I’m pretty sure he’s a teeth gritting, eye squinting cowboy with a gunslinger agenda. More like a bounty hunter looking for Obama. He won’t be satisfied until he rides back into town with a corpse draped over the back of his saddle. Certainly proof we got his man.
What Gov. Rick Perry says and does is by no means representative of his professed religion. And what is shown on TV and heard on radio makes me and others wonder if he as no discernable main stream American religion. At least no religion I’m familiar with. Avenger perhaps but nothing else. Well, I must admit he has a nice hair do.
I just wish he and other presidential candidates would go back and read the Bible. Then try to synchronize their so-called religious beliefs with what is REALLY presented in the Bible. If he professes to be a believer in Jesus and his peace loving religion, then governor, be peaceful. Be loving. Be forgiving. That’s role model Jesus put forth in the New Testament. Not rhetorical gunslinger or partisan avenger.
