Does the NBA know there is a world economic crisis going on?

The NBA is really doing us a favor by postponing or canceling the NBA season. The National Basketball Association has what seems like a never-ending ball season. Way too long. Goes well beyond two and a half years. So long, one begins to grow weary and hoping the flat screen TV would crash.

Have you ever heard the expression too much of a good things could be, bad. Over kill is what they call it. Drive it into the ground. Over saturation and drowning in too many games. Too many players. Too many teams. Too much money and not enough enthusiasm for the game.

David Stern would do us all a favor and cancel the rest of the season. Give us a break. A nice basketball holiday. Just wait for the NCAA play-offs. That’s all we need two teams, one game, and boink. The NCAA is finished. Well, something likes that.

The NCAA is exciting because it’s one game in a series and off to the next team or go home. Sudden death. I like that. It’s do or die. My favorite format. The NBA could and should learn a lesson from the NCAA. “Keep it short stupid.”
