I bought this computer and I should have the right to not download or download whatever I wish. Don’t you think? So, why is Skype always trying to down load all sorts of gadgets and updates?
I don’t want skype 5.5. My 3.8 works just fine for me. I don’t want the Google tool bar. I don’t want the skype communicator. I absolutely don’t want any automatic download. I want to make that decision by myself. I’d my freaking computer. Skype! Stay the heck out. Go download in a toilet if you have to.
I only want skype there when I want it. I have uninstalled skype 5.5 about a dozen times in the past six months and reloaded 3.8. I love 3.8 and I’m glad I kept the installer in my folder. Frequently skype says it’s downloading the updated version without even asking my permission. Or it gives a confusing set of instructions and downloads skype regardless. Certain creating a bad reputation as far as I’m concerned. Skype really sucks. However, I do you use it from time to time. What is Microsoft trying to do? Kill off their fragile corporate image? It is now an ugly corporate image. Nasty and bullying. Middle finger you Microsoft.
