My campaign Billboard:
We heard what the RNC had to say. Lots of “America deserves better.” “Obama was bad for America.” And a truck load of Bla bla bla.
I can assure you next week at the DNC it will be more of the same. Bla bla bla as well. More platitudes and generalities. Empty words even a grade schooler would have doubts about.
Here’s your challenge. Decide what is important to you. What are your values? What’s important for your family and neighborhood. What will make America great? Jobs? Health? Schooling? Less taxes? Bigger or smaller government? What?
Decide this for yourself. Read. Watch. Decide. Ignore snarky and partisan talk. Turn off radio and TV and then read the newspapers. Avoid lock steppers and ditto heads. Don’t be afraid to ask difficult questions. Finally, don’t let anybody tell you how to vote. How you vote is your own private business.
Rational voice of the Southern Plaines. Commenting on politics, religion, technology, Pop culture, radio, TV, and the general Media. If you wish to comment on anything written in the Red Dirt Post, go to chuckayers.com and to the “Contact Us” info. All my best, Chuck Ayers Editor

Mit, what are your guys telling you?
Yes, Mit Romney is a successful businessman. Yes, Ann Romney is a smart and attractive woman. Both are a wonderful couple, mom and dad, and probably pretty good neighbors.
None the less, why do they lie about President Obama? Why do they say President Obama is angry and divisive. President Obama to me seems cordial, affable, and even tempered. I have never seen him mad, angry, or blustering how others might had treated him. President Obama sings, jokes, and treats other with respect. How can Mit Romney call the president hateful and dishonest?
But if the truth be known, Mit Romney is probably receiving bad advice from his campaign consultants and handlers. I can only guess Romney is saying these things because his campaign has no other alternative argument. So, lie not misrepresent the President? It’s the only campaign arrow in their almost empty quiver. So, telling the truth is not an option. Telling the truth would be self-incriminating. Then, the whole campaign would be over. Done. Just plead guilty as charged. Case closed.
But to sustain the campaign, Romney has to augment his campaign rhetoric with exaggeration, distortion, and lies. There’s no other way for Romney to wage a campaign war against the President. Bluster, bloviate, and pounding on the podium is another tactic. “Take your campaign of anger and divisiveness back to Chicago,” Romney has repeated on the campaign trail. Bringing campaigning down to an all time low. A desperate and sad way to conduct a Presidential campaign. God forgive Mit Romney.

I'll take the party that loves the common man and woman.
I am a registered Democrat. I don’t always agree with everything the Democrat Party stands for. However, I generally vote for middle class values and benefit for the greater good. Sometimes putting my own wants and wishes aside in order to promote the common principles of the Democratic party.
What I do not promote are hot button issues. Such things are destructive to the common goals of good community values. Narrow interests are counterproductive.
None the less, I would vote independent but my states voting laws limit the independent voter. Therefore I am a Democrat. However, from 1966 to 2002, I was a registered Republican. Voting four times for Ronald Reagan. Twice in California for governor and twice for President. I also voted for Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. All of whom would not know today’s Republican party. Nor would they be nominated as Republican Presidential candidate. Possibly be seen as too liberal and socialist.
So what happened to the Republican party? Money, money, and money narrow interests. It is now a party controlled by the likes of the Koch Brothers, Steve Wynn, Donald Trump, and dozens of billionaires. All bent on furthering their empires. Mostly by changing laws to their satisfaction. And, this is accomplished by buying the best congress money can acquire. Unfortunately, money votes. Money and it’s progenitors are anonymously protected by law and the supreme court. Money can vote without proper I.D. While tens of thousands of older, poorer, and disenfranchised people have to prove who they are and buy a state ID. Paying a poll tax.
But anyway, I am a Democrat by necessity and not necessarily by choice. My former party abandon me. I still hold fast to most conservative principles. But the conservatives have abandon their principles. Shifting far far to the right. Leaving me holding an empty bag. Therefore, I will gladly vote for President Obama and the Democrats. However, if the Republicans ever come up with a moderate candidate I could support, I just might vote for her. God save us from our stupidity. Amen.

There is good reason to stick with what you know. And avoid the unknown.
To say the Obama administration did not deliver the promises they made in 2008, therefore I will vote for the other party. Such primitive logic is ridiculous statement. It would be like saying this Chevrolet did not get the advertised mileage as promised, therefore I will go with the Nash Rambler the other company makes. Even though the Nash Rambler was the ugliest car ever made. Probably the worse car ever built. A decision resulting in flawed logic.
None the less, had President Obama completed all he had promised, the Republicans would be doubly hopping mad. How would the Republicans have responded to a Universal Health Care law? Or voting in two significant Job bills? Republicans would have been massively livid. Once again asking to repeal such a thing. But the only thing that got in the way of Obama’s plans were the…you guessed it. The Republicans in congress. But anyway, to claim President Obama didn’t produce is like the Republicans being accused of killing the goose that laid the golden eggs. How could he ever get anything done with a stop everything Obama does party motto. And this started from day one. Did you not see this from the get-go? Were you not reading the newspapers back then?
The only policy the Republicans had from January 2009 was to shut down the Obama administration. How could anyone get anything done? That’s why they call the Republican party the Party of NO! Road blockers and constipationist all of them.
But to run to the other party under these circumstances is utter madness. Irrational. Only reactionary and stupid.
I’ll take the Chevrolet any day. The Nash Rambler was just an excuse to sell something for money. The why the American Motors Car company went out of business. And, who was the head of AMC? George Romney. Daddy to Mit.

If you just don't like things the way they are, then...
Here are the issues and the difference:
If you like to do your banking, loans, and credit with no consumer protection, vote Republican.
If you like to swim in rivers and lakes filled with mercury, then vote Republican.
If you like to drive over bridges that have not been maintained and are about to collapse, then vote Republican.
If you like to work for minimum wage that will never be raised, then vote Republican.
If you want no health care assistance and want to repeal Obamacare, then vote Republican.
If you want a more expensive retirement with higher risk, if any at all, then vote Republican.
If you don’t like jobs created by the Federal Government, then vote Republican.
If you like smog and carbon monoxide in the air, then vote Republican.
If you just love offshore drilling and subsequent oil spills, then vote Republican.
If you like shutting businesses down in order to send them overseas, then Vote Republican.
If you just hate public schools and their teachers, then vote Republican.
If you think the fire and police departments need less man power, then vote Republican.
If you don’t like benefits from the Veterans Administration, then vote Republican.
If you want Medicare and Social Security to go away, then vote Republican.
If you just can’t wait to give more tax cuts to the rich, then vote Republican.
If you are a fan of sending all union jobs to China, then vote Republican.
If you wish to have a really cool looking pipeline trenched down the middle of America, then vote Republican.
If you don’t want to create jobs for the unemployed, then vote Republican.
If you like a government that is mostly secretive, then vote Republican.
If you want a President that flip-flops and has no discernable plan for America, then vote Republican.

Don't say anything you wish you hadn't.
I believe it was Adali Stevenson who said, “ If the Republicans would stop lying about the Democrats, the Democrats would stop telling the truth about the Republicans.” This is where we are in 2012. The only defense for the republicans is to lie. Because, the truth hurts and smoke and mirrors is their weapon of choice. Bluster, blow hard, bloviate, blame, besmirch, blast, bash, and belittle the opposition. Just flat out lie and cover up past transgressions with blowing smoke.
Never the less, The truth never lies. Especially when Republicans expose their own foibles and fallacies in the media. And unfortunately for the republicans, they cannot back track and pretend they had never said what they said. I.E., Todd Akin, Mit Romney, and Paul Ryan just to name a few who had tongue slips.
It is oh so apparent now the Republicans are on a downhill decent into the political black hole. A quagmire impossible to come out of. The RNC ticket has been folded, punched, and mutilated. All by self-inflicted wounds. A shot in the foot. Republican Ticket! You are toast! RNC RIP.

Hot button issues ignore the bigger picture.
Voting for a candidate because of one hot button issue is a vote against yourself and the rest of America. Hot button issues will never go away. They will never be resolved. Only because there are enough voters out there who think the opposite of what you do. And, will countermand your vote. All driven by narrow interest politicians with hidden agendas saying almost anything to get your vote.
So let’s focus on real issues that concern tens of millions of Americans. Health care, education, jobs, environment, consumer protection, housing, homeland security, retirement, and the list is almost endless. However, to focus on one emotional issue is counterproductive for all America. The president’s job is not a one issue job. He or she has to work for and assist all citizens of the United States. Vote for the candidate that has the best broad interest for all America. Please set aside business, association, partisan, and religious issues so we can get America back on track. Serving, and protecting everyone from shore to shore and border to border. God bless all Americans. Amen!

Women. You might be in big trouble.
Puzzlement:
Have you been watching the nightly news lately? I don’t understand what is going on here. There are some stodgy, regressive Americans wanting to take away civil and personal rights from women. Wanting to Take them back to the 1890s? Requiring them all to be subservient , and never leave the house? Is this what we Americans want? Is this what women want as well? Why are women not yelling, tweeting, and screaming instead? Do you want to be controlled by old angry white men forever? Then stand up and scream Holy Moly no!!! As my late mother use to say, “I’m mad as an old wet hen and I’m not going to put up with this anymore!”

It seems so much nicer now.
Just like right wing talk radio, left wing talk radio has to manufacture talking points as well. Expanding and inflating stories in order to fill a daily three hour program. It’s doesn’t matter if your are Bill O’Riely or Bill Press. Both have to put a little bloviating yeast into the mix. Making it bigger than it really ought to be. Just add a little bla bla bla and it will quickly rise to the top. Most often rise over the top.
Come on, try to host a 3-hour radio program, five days a week and you quickly run out of talking points. Saying the same thing repeatedly in one program. How many times can you rant about income taxes or reversing welfare reform in one daily talk show? You begin saying the same thing three or four times in one hour. Never mind dozens of times in one day.
Think about it. What more can you say about Mit Romney or President Obama that hasn’t been said by a hundred other talk radio hosts? Therefore, you have to resort to truth expansion. Exaggeration. White lies. Black lies. Hammering and personally attacking the opposition. Calling them every name in the book. Ideologues. Morons. Demigods. Idiots. Ignoramuses. Fatheads. Knuckle draggers. Meatheads. Blowhards. And, the list is completely endless. Are you following me?
My best advice is to put your radio in the closet and read the newspaper. And pretty soon, your disposition will improve. People will begin to say you must have had light therapy or are now taken Prozac. Talking nicer and smiling more often. Oh gee! He sounds like a human being again. See there?

How to vote, 101.
There are no rules in political campaigns. To say someone is angry or divisive is just someone’s media manager rhetoric. Passions have erupted ever since George Washington left office. Read your history. John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and on and on it went. All had to endure bloviation and bumper stickers from the opposition. But to claim angst and vexing against your political opposite, is to declare you have not the stomach to wage a campaign. Don’t believe any personal attacks on opposing candidates. Read the newspapers and watch CSPAN. Then decide what issues are meaningful to you. Vote issues, not melodrama and hyperbole.
Our world would be better off if Congress were dround in a bathtub.
There is certainly two sides to an issue. And Medicare surely has it’s fractious partisan dichotomies. However, what most older Americans like Medicare the way it is. And believe it can be fixed. The fixing part is to keep partisan politics out of the mix. If anything, Americans want it fixed. Not tampered with and turned into a cash cow for private insurers.
When will law makers get it. Americans want a government run medical system. Oh of course, if you wish to pay double the cost to a large insurance company instead. You know, big profits paid out and hundreds of stock holder to please.
This is not to say Americans want free health care. They are certainly willing to make reasonable payment to support the system. However, private insurers and their congressional supporters would rather have the money sent directly to the corporate level. By passing the doctor patient level. Almost guaranteeing a huge increase for profit and paying out to stockholders. This is not what most Americans want.
Health care should be out of the realm of free enterprise and capital management. Instead placed in a public trust. Whether it be state run or federal run. It doesn’t matter.
What does matter is good health care is made available to most or all Americans. It’s our god given right. Good health. Good citizens. And good middle class workers. Healthy, productive, and contributors to the total public good. God bless America. We need good, affordable health care.

Congress is where it should be at. But, it ain't.
You can talk about your two pretty white men, with nice hair. You can talk about a couple of mixed cultured progressives. But the real game in town(Washington DC)is in Congress.
No matter who wins the Whitehouse this fall, the real ground battle will be on Capitol Hill. Mostly in the House of Representatives. The place where bad ideas and dead wood exists side by side. The incubator of legislation reversal and partisan hysteria. The hiding place of John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Paul Ryan. All hunkered down in ‘The House of Misrepresentatives.’ Sometimes known as The lobbyist’s massage parlor.
Never the less, the US Congress needs every bodies attention. Every voter. Every reporter. Every camera needs to be focused on the horror that goes on in the halls of Congress. And, it’s out in the halls where the dirty work goes on and money is exchanged. Like money changers in the hallowed temple of the people that were angrily tossed out. Remember the New Testament narrative that cleansed the Temple?
To make this short and not so sweet, Congress needs to be turned over. Fixed and flipped. All incumbents swiftly hosed out the back door. Voted out of office. Just being a congressman does not a career make. Get in. Get out.
Vote incumbents out. Let’s try some fresh faces. New ideas. Then, move on with more new faces. This my friends, is the American way. God bless America. God forgive Congress.

Oh, were we suppose to do something while we're here?
A bad year for vintage congress. The worse congress ever! What a distinction. “Do nothing congress” doesn’t even describe this current congress. A comatose congress which is DOA and MIA at best. Ladies and Gentlemen, get rid of your incumbent congressman or woman. Do yourself and your neighbors a huge favor, if you read on the ballot this fall the description “incumbent” next to the candidate’s name be sure to vote instead for the challenging candidate. And if you need a good reason, read the USA Today article below. Think smart. Vote Smart.
61 bills By Susan Davis, USA TODAY Congress is on pace to make history with the least productive legislative year in the post-World War II era. Just 61 bills have become law to date in 2012 out of 3,914 bills that have been introduced by lawmakers, or less than 2% of all proposed laws, according to a USA TODAY analysis of records since 1947 kept by the U.S. House Clerk's office. In 2011, after Republicans took control of the House, Congress passed just 90 bills into law. The only other year in which Congress failed to pass at least 125 laws was 1995. These statistics make the 112th Congress, covering 2011-12, the least productive two-year gathering on Capitol Hill since the end of World War II. Not even the 80th Congress, which President Truman called the "do-nothing Congress" in 1948, passed as few laws as the current one, records show…

Back to the future
If Romney and Ryan want to take America back to a 1950s sociology, then politics is fair game as well. I remember vividly many debates over electing a Catholic president. Fearing the president would be subjugated to the Holy Sea. So maybe we should revive that battle cry. Also, in the fundamentalist church I had belonged to, Mormonism was disdained as a secret cult. Something to avoid and persuade others to avoid as well. Should we start this political/religious mind set all over again? What do you think?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have my own plan, maybe.
It appears that Mit Romney wants to move away from Paul Ryan’s budget plan. At least as it is seen in public. Romney might want to look as if he has his own plan but if the time comes when he might be elected President Romney will completely embrace the Ryan plan. Yes, “bait and switch.” Flip-flop. Put your right foot in and your right foot out and shake it all about, cha cha cha.
None the less, what you see now is not what you will see and hear later. Smoke and mirror. Total deception and dishonesty. Seemingly the normal for Mit and Paul. The Republican game of “Got-ya !”
In the mean while, reporters and journalists need to step up their questioning about Mit Romney’s income tax returns. It is oh so obvious he is without a doubt hiding something. Something like having not paid taxes for many years. At best perhaps paying as little as one or two percent income tax. An embarrassing amount and Romney surely resists admitting such. Paying no tax is the symbol of not caring and being unpatriotic. Certainly not a Presidential image. So, we can only assume he paid no taxes. A shameful position for any politician to be in.
Now is the time to ask questions. Be insisting on the truth. Don’t give up until the full truth is known. Our whole American way of life is on the line. There is evil intent out there and it must be nipped in the bud. Stopped. Killed and buried. Let’s preserve Americanism. “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” And most of all, free from extreme right wing bait and switch politics. God bless America. God bless the entire world as well.

See the truth. Hear the truth. Write the truth.
Where is Edward R Murrow when he is needed. Where is the journalist or commentator who will speak out about politics that wishes to dismantle our American way of life. Who has the guts to expose blatant con men wanting to steal the wealth of America. Just as Ryan and Romney do. Pandering to the super wealthy and big corporate interests.
What is galling these days journalist hand out the Edward R Murrow award each year for journalistic excellence. Especially since no one has ever achieved the excellence that Murrow had. Certainly making a mockery of the prestigious award. Come on guys! Have the fortitude and determination to write and expose such political debauchery. What are you afraid of? Finding the truth? Retribution from your peers? Being accused of being the liberal media?
All America wants is honesty and truthful journalism. Take a chance. Go for it!

Who took my hair spray?
Two white guys with nice hair. Is this what it will take to win the Whitehouse this fall? Only if President Obama and Joe Biden are taken by space aliens. A billion to one long shot. Most likely, space aliens would be more inclined to take two guys with nice hair.
First of all, neither are female. Neither are Hispanic. Neither are African-American. Neither are blue collar. Neither are middle class. Neither identify with struggling work-a-day Americans. Neither came from grass roots America. Neither had to struggle to raise a family and send their kids to college on a shoe string. Both are just two white guys with nice hair.
Neither agree with the needs of most Americans. America’s like their Medicare just the way it is. Americans want Social Security just the way Roosevelt set it up. Americans want jobs that last and with benefits. Americans don’t want pipeline jobs that last a few month and then laid off. Americans want benefit for the poor and it’s children. America want the very rich to pay their fair share of taxes. American don’t buy into the notion of trickle down. Americans are too smart to fall for such Republican foolishness.
Never the less, what does this Paul Ryan thing have to do with Mit Romney’s missing tax returns anyway? Romney is still hiding his secret life as tax evader and off shore banker. Ryan is just a brief distraction to the Romney train wreck. Ryan is just a poster boy for nice hair and hidden social engineered agendas. Thank you Newt for pointing this out.
Just flat out no for Ryan and Romney.

Public school education.
Letter to the Editor: Good old days. Nancy Sherman, Tulsa. I am thankful to have attended school back when Americans valued providing children with the best education possible. Public schools then educated the generations of mathematicians and scientists who invented and/or developed most of the medicines, safe vehicles, electronic devices - virtually all the products that make our lives what they are today. Public schools provided the education and training that resulted in the rise of the middle class. It's a rare self-made millionaire who didn't attend public schools and a state-funded college or university. Back then, state colleges were funded to the point that students and parents paid approximately 10 percent of the cost. Taxpayers paid for the rest - and did so willingly because they knew they were sponsoring the future. Today, public schools are laying off teachers and closing schools. Today's students graduate from state colleges with such a heavy load of debt they may never be able to pay it off. Back then, most Americans actually considered it their patriotic duty to provide all children with the best education possible. They knew our future depended on it, and our lives today are the better for it. Today, we keep lowering the top tax rates, and lowering funds available for our schools. Is it worth risking our children's future so that people who make millions every year can keep every penny of it? What are we thinking? Letters to the editor are encouraged.

Ryan is just the last nail in the pine box.
Paul Ryan? Hmm. All I know about Paul Ryan is he formulated a very mean spirited house budget. A budget favoring the rich and dismantling Medicare. Is this what we want?
Perhaps just for a minute or two it will take the heat off Romney but not for long. Romney still has his issues. Not paying taxes is his biggest hurdle to jump. Along with a hundred other Romney warts.
None the less, the two men now are two lightening rods. Making it two targets to shoot at instead of one. But anyway, Romney will still get his licks from the media. Ryan is not a big enough shield to protect Romney. Matter of fact, the heat will be turned up even more on Romney. As it should be. How stupid of Mit Romney to think Ryan would be a distraction. Romney is already a political distraction. A distraction from the RNC and its regressive policies. Oh how idiotic. One has to feel sorry for the Republican ticket.

I didn't say that! Did I?
How could one go around saying something that is completely opposite of what he had originally said. Especially since what was originally said is on video or in print. Baring witness to previous spare of the moment proclamations. Therefore contradicting what was recently said. Are you following me?
Of course, we are talking about Mit Romney. Who else? Just ask him about a policy from his political or business past and he usually will not remember what was said. Or change his mind on the spot. “Oh well, that was back then.” Or, “I don’t remember what I said but I stick with what I said. Whatever I said. What did I say anyway?” Oh please, get real!
It would be safe to say by now, Mit Romney is the Flip-flop King of all America. Maybe both North and South. Saying things that best suit his current audience. Forgetting what position he had taken a few years back. And, it’s not like he had re-thought his past words and then eventually changed his mind. No. It’s more like tell them what they want to hear. Making it up on the spot. “Just forget what I had said before anyway.” Thinking he could just erase everything he had said in the past by applying some magic Republican pixie dust. Just talk with a clean slate. Time and time again. Talk with no past. Bloviating with a clear conscience each and every time. “I have no past. I have nothing to worry about. No one remembers what I said anyway.” Oh really?
Never the less, this speaks poorly of his policy advisors and handlers. Either his handlers are giving him bad advice before each public appearance or Romney ignores what they are telling him. Whichever, he almost always puts his foot in his mouth. How stupid can a man be? You can answer that yourself.

Even old white men need to retire. And, ASAP.
If there ever was a good time to clean out the congressional dead wood, it right now. Congress is where it is NOT happening. Congress is comatose. Asleep at the wheel. Out to a long lunch. Fallen off the wagon again. Simply not working as designed. They have been making a career of doing mostly nothing. Thanks to their lobbyist friends.
Vote for America. Send the TEA party back down the rabbit hole. Send the rich and wealthy a message. It’s time to pay the rent. Your dues are way past due. America is tired of subsidizing your slothful decadent life style.
Never the less, we need more women in congress. We need more Latinos and African Americans in congress. We need people willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Time is wasting. America needs a fix. America needs jobs. Not rancorous party bla bla bla.
Send the good old white boy back home to retire. Give them the retirement party of their life. Fire them!!! Old farts, all of them.

Once again and with no surprise, Romney had twist the truth. More like drowning it in a bath tub. Just total lie and distortion. One more lie added to his growing lists of prevarications.
What is surprising is the medias blasé attitude about such blatant falsehoods. None the less, Romney and his truth benders have formulated another Romney distortion from their Pants on Fire alchemy lab. A real stink bomb. Pure 100-percent horse apple. Watch where you step.
Anyway, Romney and his toilet wizards have brewed up a slime a witch wouldn’t touch. Taking a law that President Clinton signed into law and the Romney mental midgets say Obama has dropped the ball on. Not so.
It is a welfare law that Obama has allowed each state to take more control of. And by the request of several Republican governors. Making it easier for the states to process this welfare law. But Romney and his trash haulers see it another way.
None the less, Romney insists on using lie and misrepresentation to garner him more votes. He has no other arrows in his quiver. If you can’t tell the truth and win, then lie. It works almost every time. Smoke and mirrors is a Republican’s best friend. Just ask Carl Rove and the late Lee Atwater. Smearing, twisting, and smudging the truth really really works. It’s the Republican way of doing things.
But anyway, I am becoming more and more shocked how Republicans use falsehood as a major tool in their campaigns. What is really surprising is, most Republicans are professed Christian or such moralist religionist. People of supposed high moral standards. Bible believing church goers. Whatever happened to “Thou shall not bare false witness?” Has it been struck from Moses’ tablet of stone? Once known as the ten commandments. It almost appears so. God help us all and save us from our sins. Amen.

It's not fair. Don't ask me those questions.
When I hear Mit Romney speak in public and is attempting to answer fielded questions, I hear a troubled man. A man who wishes not to answer vexing questions. Especially questions from news reporters.
Romney seems troubled because he wishes not to answer any questions not coming from friendly sources. Not that reporters are unfriendly but journalists are looking for answers to report to the general public. Answers that might tell a story about Mit Romney, who he is, and what does he stand for.
And my own feelings is he wishes to hide who he is. Not willing to reveal too much of his true intent. Which if most people knew about him just might change their minds and go to the other candidate. Let’s face it, Romney is hiding something. You can hear it in his stressed irritated voice. He is not accustomed to answering queries he wishes not to discuss. Becoming visibly flustered and angered. He knows the truth but doesn’t want others to know. None the less, he becomes nervous, angered, and sometimes irrational when reluctantly fielding hardball questions from the audience. Especially an audience of probing news reporters. That is when he gives irresponsible and unrehearsed answers. A most regrettable position for Romney to be in. And if you are old enough, you will remember President Richard Nixon sounding and looking like he has something to hide as well. Very much like what Romney is now saying and doing. Sweating, flustered, and visibly looking guilty. “I am not a crook.”

Survey. Quick and easy.
The three most pressing issues for millions of Americans are Jobs, education, and health care. Considering these troubling issues, give us three good reasons you would support Mit Romney for president. What programs does he offer to correct or enhance these three areas in most people’s lives.
So, What would be Mit Romney’s plans to make all this better for we Americans. What will be his policy on affordable Health care? How will he make public education better? What programs will Mit Romney put in place that will put more American’s back to work on a permanent basis?

Pie in the sky. Why?
We don’t have time and money for expensive science projects. It may be fun and interesting for a few science mongers but the money is badly needed elsewhere. Robotic rovers to Mars does not lend itself to basic human needs.
And the question still exists, why is the federal government still paying for such obscenely expensive ventures. This should be privatized. Perhaps the extremely profitable energy companies could fund these Exploratorium’s. But not the government that is in poor financial shape.
If you want an outer space project to involve humankind, try to figure out how to expand space between seats on a jetliner. More leg room is needed as well. Not high dollar voyages to Mars. Perhaps even surface transportation could be engineered and resolved.
Trains, planes, and bridges need our country’s attention. It would most likely put more out of work citizens back on the job. Working and circulating money down at the grass roots level. More money is needed on the terrestrial level than the celestial. Let us all build high speed transportation between cities. Forget warp speed to the outer limits. A good job on earth is worth a thousand photos of Mars desert surface posted on Facebook. Incidentally, is all this Mars rover presentation done in a studio at Disney’s Burbank studios? Maybe perhaps?

Don't give me that crap! Tell me a lie.
I guess the conventional wisdom in political campaign is if you lie enough it will become the truth. “Obama is bad for America.” At least this is the Republican model for the Romney campaign. Distort and slander your opponent enough and people will believe anything you say. And the more campaign money from unknown sources you have the more vagaries and generalities you can put out there in TV and Radio land.
Where is the proverbial “Buzzer” that goes off each time a person blathers a falsehood. “BUZZ!” Well, fantasies like that only exist on game shows and late night TV. However, we depend on the mainstream media to be the so-called “Whistle Blower.” But, these days, the media is asleep at the wheel. Maybe comatose is a better description. Where is the electronic and print media when a buzzer moment occurs? Hands in their pockets? Outdo lunch maybe?
Well, more like hiding in a closet afraid to speak or print the truth in fear of being labeled liberal. Telling the truth is liberal? Since when? Since George W Bush and Fox news.
Since September 11, 2001 anybody and everybody questioning the president or his administration was labeled unpatriotic and liberal. This was pounded on over and over again that it became accepted as the so-called truth.
The truth? Yes, exaggeration and prevarication is the accepted norm. Accepted norm? Are you lying to me? Am I lying? Why you freaking liberal! You can kiss my buzzer! You unpatriotic elitist

Rules are for fools and not for me.
What Mit Romney is guilty of, is wanting to make up his own rules. Which also seems to be the trend of the entire Republican party. Rules and regulations often get in the way of just wanting to be president. Just as Romney does. “I deserve to be president, don’t I? So go away with those silly rules.”
But anyway, Mit just makes it up as he goes along. “There no rule that wasn’t meant to be broken. But only by the Republicans. Democrats must play by the rules or suffer distortion and lie. If you know what I mean.
When it come to asking by the press about Romney’s missing tax returns, such questions are off limit. But if Obama does the same, he will be chicken fried before night fall. The rule is, all rules only apply to democrats. When a Republican walks in a room, all rules are suspended. No gets away with asking embarrassing questions. “How dare you!” But it is interesting when Harry Reed mentioned Romney had not paid his taxes for ten years, it all came back to Sen. Reed. As if Reed was the one in question. Never mind Romney has never showed any substantiating proof of paying taxes. “Put up or shut up,” Romney tossed back at Reed. Blustering as if Senator Reed was the one in question. Sure, rules do not apply to Romney. Only to his detractors.
If Romney had nothing to hide, then I’m sure he would reveal his tax returns. But me being a practicing amateur psychologist, I know as well as millions know, Romney is a flat out liar and has something to hide. So Romney! Shut up or put up. Show us your hand or fold ‘em and back out and away from the game.

Okay bud, show me your papers or get out.
Mit Romney’s private and professional life is a closed book. Not ever to be revealed. Shut tight. Sealed and very much a dark secret.
Would a smart human resource officer accept an employment application from an applicant without work and education detail? The applicant couldn’t even get his or her foot in the door without a comprehensive resume. Where did you attend college? What previous business experience do you have? What professional organizations do you now belong to or have belonged to in the past. What honors or civic office have you held? Etc, etc.
All normal questions a HR man would ask. However, Mit Romney wants to change the rules. “Don’t ask me personal questions.” Romney does not want to give detail about his experience as Olympic organizer. He does not want to talk about his term as governor of Massachusetts. Romney doesn’t even want to reveal much about his dealings and experiences with Bain Capital. Especially revealing his past tax returns. “Nope! It’s none of your business!”
If President Obama had taken the same course of non-revelation, he would have been crucified. He would have never been elected president. So, what’s so top secret about Mit? Why does he think he is entitled to a free pass? Just slip on in and take over the presidency. No questions asked. More or less acting like Fidel Castro and his take over coup of the Cuban government. Fidel had no resume but strong armed his way into power.
Is this what America stands for? Toss out democracy and the constitution so a man can slip into office without any regard to his past? If I were a profane man, I would say Hell no! But I’m not so I won’t say that. God forgive me.
Never the less, Romney wants the highest office in the land but without qualifications. “Just make me president with no questions asked.” “Just give me the honorary degree and I’ll take over.”
No Sir!! Not on a bet. Mit! You can’t buy your way in. The presidency is not for sale. The American electorate wants to see all your personal and professional records and past tax returns. The voters want to know all about what you have done to earn this highly regarded job. Put up! Or, shut up!

The rich say they earned their money and deserve to keep it. Well, where do you think they got their money from? From a money elf? Chasing a rainbow? Selling lemonade?
Here is the unknown truth. Surprise! They got their money from you and me. From investments that went bad. We lost. The rich won.
Have you ever heard of the “transfer of wealth?” The middle class once had most of the wealth. But the cunning Wall Street bankers took it from us while we were innocently cutting taxes for the rich. They play a mean bait and switch game. Now you see it. Now you don’t. Putting hard earned money into risky investments. We were Playing games without knowing the real rules. Rules that keep on changing.
So now, the wealth has been transferred to offshore accounts. Never more to be seen. Never more to be used for the American good. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Zip! Pop! Shazaam! Gone. Vaporized. Middle class money quickly becoming a faded memory.
Goodbye good paying jobs. Goodbye higher education for the kids. Goodbye affordable health care. And, goodbye the way we were.
Never mind the fine print and the lawyer speak. That doesn’t matter anymore. Once Wall Street got our money. Their contractual responsibilities disappeared. Poof. Gone up in smoke.
So, Ladies and Gentlemen, you have been “Transferred!” Some might call it “screwed.” We’ve been had. Tricked. Robbed. And, laid to waste.
Once again, it use to be our money but now it gone. Never more to come back. All because we trusted smiling politicians with hidden agendas. Politicians who make more money from special interests than they make from being a hired congressman. In Mexico they call that bribery or being on the take. But in America, the bribe money comes from the business cartels. Evil men with evil intent. Disgusting people known as Lobbyists.
I just thought you might want to know where your money is.

Keep Mit's mits off our economy
Why would America want a president to do exactly what George W Bush had already done. Repeating the same economic disaster. Deliberately wrecking the already fragile economy. Going back to the same old “make the rich richer and the poor poorer routine. The reverse Robin Hood model of economics. More tax cuts for the rich and no job prospects for the poor.
Yes. That’s what Mit Romney wants to do. It’s what he does best. “Bain Capital” the American economy. Buy it out, sell the assets, and move the remaining economy offshore. All the while, what would be left of America would be left in depression era ruin. Just a hollowed out hulk run aground.
Don’t let Mit do this. Say no to Mit. Mit is not Fit to even run a circus. Let alone a government.

The people we hire to help, often hurt and get in the way.
OP-ED COLUMNIST. Debt, Depression, DeMarco. By PAUL KRUGMAN. There has been plenty to criticize about President Obama's handling of the economy. Yet the overriding story of the past few years is not Mr. Obama's mistakes but the scorched-earth opposition of Republicans, who have done everything they can to get in his way -- and who now, having blocked the president's policies, hope to win the White House by claiming that his policies have failed. And this week's shocking refusal to implement debt relief by the acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency -- a Bush-era holdover the president hasn't been able to replace -- illustrates perfectly what's going on. Some background: many economists believe that the overhang of excess household debt, a legacy of the bubble years, is the biggest factor holding back economic recovery. Loosely speaking, excess debt has created a situation in which everyone is trying to spend less than their income. Since this is collectively impossible -- my spending is your income, and your spending is my income -- the result is a persistently depressed economy. How should policy respond? One answer is government spending to support the economy while the private sector repairs its balance sheets; now is not the time for austerity, and cuts in government purchases have been a major economic drag. Another answer is aggressive monetary policy, which is why the Federal Reserve's refusal to act in the face of high unemployment and below-target inflation is a scandal. But fiscal and monetary policy could, and should, be coupled with debt relief. Reducing the burden on Americans in financial trouble would mean more jobs and improved opportunities for everyone. Unfortunately, the administration's initial debt relief efforts were ineffectual: Officials imposed so many restrictions to avoid giving relief to 'undeserving' debtors that the program went nowhere. More recently, however, the administration has gotten a lot more serious about the issue. And the obvious place to provide debt relief is on mortgages owned by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored lenders that were effectively nationalized in the waning days of the George W. Bush administration. The idea of using Fannie and Freddie has bipartisan support. Indeed, Columbia's Glenn Hubbard, a top Romney adviser, has called on Fannie and Freddie to let homeowners with little or no equity refinance their mortgages, which could sharply cut their interest payments and provide a major boost to the economy. The Obama administration supports this idea and has also proposed a special program of relief for deeply troubled borrowers. But Edward DeMarco, the acting director of the agency that oversees Fannie and Freddie, refuses to move on refinancing. And, this week, he rejected the administration's relief plan. Who is Ed DeMarco? He's a civil servant who became acting director of the housing finance agency after the Bush-appointed director resigned in 2009. He is still there, in the fourth year of the Obama administration, because Senate Republicans have blocked attempts to install a permanent director. And he evidently just hates the idea of providing debt relief. Mr. DeMarco's letter rejecting the relief plan made remarkably weak arguments. He claimed that the plan, while improving his agency's financial position thanks to subsidies from the Treasury Department, would be a net loss to taxpayers -- a conclusion not supported by his own staff's analysis, which showed a net gain. And it's worth pointing out that many private lenders have offered the very kinds of principal reductions Mr. DeMarco rejects -- even though these lenders, unlike the government, have no incentive to take into account the way debt relief would strengthen the economy. The main point, however, is that Mr. DeMarco seems to misunderstand his job. He's supposed to run his agency and secure its finances -- not make national economic policy. If the Treasury secretary, acting for the president, seeks to subsidize debt relief in a way that actually strengthens the finance agency, the agency's chief has no business blocking that policy. Doing so should be a firing offense. Can Mr. DeMarco be fired right away? I've been seeing conflicting analyses on that point, although one thing is clear: President Obama, if re-elected, can, and should, replace him through a recess appointment. In fact, he should have done that years ago. As I said, Mr. Obama has made plenty of mistakes. But the DeMarco affair nonetheless demonstrates, once again, the extent to which U.S. economic policy has been crippled by unyielding, irresponsible political opposition. If our economy is still deeply depressed, much -- and I would say most -- of the blame rests not with Mr. Obama but with the very people seeking to use that depressed economy for political advantage.

It was a tax problem then and is still a tax problem today.
Will Rogers says. Staff Reports. The bottomline is, Mit is not fit.
Mit Romney has had and still has an identity crisis. The crisis is that more than 90-percent of Americans are not like him. He is in the elite and privilege class. Wealthy, well monied, and knows no financial crisis. He is far removed from having to work for a living. Doesn’t punch a clock. Doesn’t carry a paper sack lunch to work. Never sent his kids to public school. He has never ridden a bus to work. Romney has never had to choose between paying a cable bill or buying braces for his children. He has no clue what hard decisions have to be made just to make ends meet.
Romney is not your “hand to mouth” kind of person. He certainly would not be caught carrying a union card. Plus he despises unionization and in turn probably wouldn’t like you or your union working friends. However, Romney would rather send any union job overseas to China or India. Proving he just is out of touch with the average blue collar worker. Especially since he wears only Brooks Brothers.
Romney doesn’t even identify with lower or middle management. A class struggling to send their children to college. A struggle because even the lower management jobs are at risk. At risk of being outsourced and sent to wherever away from America.
Never the less, to say Mit Romney is clueless is an understatement. Out of touch is getting close. Oblivious to the average American’s struggles is hitting the nail on the head. Yes, Romney is completely and totally oblivious to the average American’s economic difficulties. He knows no such struggle. He never had to decide what creditor gets paid first. And he doesn’t have to decide which creditor is put on hold. Often resulting in collection calls to worker’s homes on a regular basis. Romney thinks Americas have access to CPAs that take care of such things. Well, Duhhhh!
But anyway, I am sure he is a nice man to his kids and a good husband but he lives in a air tight bubble. He is millions of dollars removed from what we all experience. Experiencing debt, foreclosure, bankruptcy, medical hardship, and just having a hard time keeping a minimal paying job.
Do you have access to a limo and driver on a daily basis? Do you own a dozen homes around the world. Do you have millions of dollars in off shore bank accounts? Have all your children been educated at prestigious expensive colleges or universities? Do you have a full time chef on staff? Do you have a fleet of small corporate jets? Are you tied in financially with large corporate donors? Is your interest focused on sending still more jobs overseas. Are you really sympathetic to letting the wealthy escape taxes while the rest of pay up. Are you interested in repealing the affordable healthcare act while the Romney privilege class have the best care in the world? Are you interested in reducing your salary or minimum wage? Do you want health benefits taken away from women? Are you interested in reversing consumer protections as Romney would prefer to do?
And I can list almost hundreds of differences between you, me and Mit Romney. We have no identity with Mit Romney and his corporate cronies. Are you with me here? See the difference between him and us. This is not class struggle. This is just a fact of life. A fact Romney has no clue how to would govern our great nation. He would send us in to reverse and bankrupt the American economy. Just as George W Bush tried to do and almost succeeded. He absolutely knows not what is needed to make America prosperous. His policies would reduce America to a Plantation society. Leaving a huge divide between the haves and the have nots. Do you see?
Mit is not fit! He is not fit for the job. His interests are only to take of the very wealthy and trash the working middle class. That’s his style. It’s his corporate model. Buy out America, sell the assets, and send jobs overseas. It’s the Bain Capital way of doing things. Do you see it now?
Well anyway, he will never make it to the Whitehouse. Americans are too smart to allow such a thing. God bless America. Let’s get back to work. Mit will take good care of himself and his family.

You mean it's all about money? What about the truth?
It’s all about advertising. Sponsorship. Ad sells. Big bucks. Money to be made from being insanely bazaar. The more outrageous, the better.
What is it? Why, it’s Talk Radio. Blasting, bashing, and bloviating. It’s radio’s version of reality TV. Survivor on “Speed.” Hyperbolic rhetoric. Hyperbolizing. Hysteria and Hellishness all wrapped up in one media freak show called, Talk Radio.
And to be perfectly clear, we are talking about talk radio from both sides of the partisan civil war. From the right. From the left. Yes, both Rush and Big Ed. All pontificate Dogma. Barking, biting, and besmirching the other’s conspiracy theories.
However, most listeners to either doctrinaire, actually believe the talk show hosts prattling rants. Rants certainly expanded beyond reason and rationality. Rants going over the top. Over the top only to sell advertising. But, the listener is not aware of This media trick. A trick only, and let me repeat, only to sell advertising. Sponsorship. Bla bla bla sold only for money. And again, bla bla only selling to big time national advertising accounts.
And to repeat again, advertising is key. Speaking the truth is not. Stirring the pot and poking fingers in the eyes of the opposition is the means to the end. And once again, the end is to sell baby sell. And the ONLY way to sell is to create an enormous boiling caldron of lies, exaggerations, misrepresentations, distortions, innuendos, embarrassments, black eyes, and on and on. All stewing in one big witches brew called, Talk Radio.
Now, here is the saddest fact of all. Many gullible and shallow people really believe this crap. Yes. It’s true. Many naïve ignoramuses hang on every word of the garrulous show host’s hypertensive blabbering. The unsuspecting listener believe it to the point that they cover their cars with insulting bumper stickers. Front yards awash in a sea of ranting yard signs. And wearing T-shirt exposing anybody they and the talk show host absolutely disdain. Finally Sending the radio recruit off to a battle armed with smoke and rubber bullets. Completely misguided and bound to get hurt in the process. All to defend some talk show host’s convoluted demagoguery.
In the mean time, as mentioned before, the talk show host walks away with tens of millions of dollars from advertisements. Probably snickering how stupid the listener is. Just one more day of potty talk and a walk to the bank.
So we can conclude, Disparaging the opposition with humiliating rhetoric sells ads. Being Mr. Nice Guy is the kiss of death for any talk show host. Bullying and blowing hard is key to talk showary. Sick’em Rush!
