How could one go around saying something that is completely opposite of what he had originally said. Especially since what was originally said is on video or in print. Baring witness to previous spare of the moment proclamations. Therefore contradicting what was recently said. Are you following me?
Of course, we are talking about Mit Romney. Who else? Just ask him about a policy from his political or business past and he usually will not remember what was said. Or change his mind on the spot. “Oh well, that was back then.” Or, “I don’t remember what I said but I stick with what I said. Whatever I said. What did I say anyway?” Oh please, get real!
It would be safe to say by now, Mit Romney is the Flip-flop King of all America. Maybe both North and South. Saying things that best suit his current audience. Forgetting what position he had taken a few years back. And, it’s not like he had re-thought his past words and then eventually changed his mind. No. It’s more like tell them what they want to hear. Making it up on the spot. “Just forget what I had said before anyway.” Thinking he could just erase everything he had said in the past by applying some magic Republican pixie dust. Just talk with a clean slate. Time and time again. Talk with no past. Bloviating with a clear conscience each and every time. “I have no past. I have nothing to worry about. No one remembers what I said anyway.” Oh really?
Never the less, this speaks poorly of his policy advisors and handlers. Either his handlers are giving him bad advice before each public appearance or Romney ignores what they are telling him. Whichever, he almost always puts his foot in his mouth. How stupid can a man be? You can answer that yourself.
