Our world would be better off if Congress were dround in a bathtub.

There is certainly two sides to an issue. And Medicare surely has it’s fractious partisan dichotomies. However, what most older Americans like Medicare the way it is. And believe it can be fixed. The fixing part is to keep partisan politics out of the mix. If anything, Americans want it fixed. Not tampered with and turned into a cash cow for private insurers.

When will law makers get it. Americans want a government run medical system. Oh of course, if you wish to pay double the cost to a large insurance company instead. You know, big profits paid out and hundreds of stock holder to please.

This is not to say Americans want free health care. They are certainly willing to make reasonable payment to support the system. However, private insurers and their congressional supporters would rather have the money sent directly to the corporate level. By passing the doctor patient level. Almost guaranteeing a huge increase for profit and paying out to stockholders. This is not what most Americans want.

Health care should be out of the realm of free enterprise and capital management. Instead placed in a public trust. Whether it be state run or federal run. It doesn’t matter.

What does matter is good health care is made available to most or all Americans. It’s our god given right. Good health. Good citizens. And good middle class workers. Healthy, productive, and contributors to the total public good. God bless America. We need good, affordable health care.
