Congress is being watched through a one-way mirror. If only they knew.

The single most people I disdain in America is, self-important Politicians. People wrapped in a shroud of smugness and pomposity. Politicians walking about with noses in the air, shoulders tossed back, and posturing in a pretense as if wearing a Superman cape. However, all brought to their knees in an instant by a derogatory Tweet if caught straying from the official party orthodoxy. Easy come. Easy go…down.

All of this aided and abetted by the so called liberal media. Only if there was such a thing. Fox and talk radio are not liberal. Much less media.

Never the less, politicians, for the most part, are subhuman and prey on innocent gullible people. People who have not the articulation to speak their own mind. Uneducated, shallow, and mostly dogma fearing evangelicals.

But anyway, I am speaking of politicians such as: John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Erick Cantor, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Lindsey Graham, Dick Cheney, Jim Inhofe, Tom Delay, Carl Rove, and the list is endless. Enough demigod bloviators to fill a smelly waste slue three times on any industrial hog farm.

If only there were some Fairy Dust or pesticide spray that could neutralize their plaster-of-Paris statuary on a pedestal personalities. Melting them down like wax feet held to the fire. Better yet, toss them all into the blazing oven of Congressional purgatory.

Anyway, the faster they go away, the better off we all shall be. America needs leadership. Not blood sucking politicians. Good night and good riddance.

Hard headedness is our worst enemy. Just save your breath.

How do you reason with someone who is caught up in hysteria and paranoia? What truths or logic can be used to get your point across? Especially when no fact or positive proof works with them. They almost seem mentally and physically deaf and in the irreversible grip of insanity. Sometimes you just have to walk away and let them stew in their own venom. Hopefully a good slap in the face might bring them back to consciousness. But, don’t hold your breath.

None the less, the above condition seems to exist in some people when discussing politics or religion. No matter what reasoning you use, some folks appear to be possessed by a hyper dogma that defies any proof or set of facts. It’s like talking to a chicken with its head cut off. Just flutter and flailing. Just get out of the way. They are headed for self-destruction.

So, just do as Jesus suggested, don’t cast your pearls before swine. Shake the dust off your shoes and leave. You’ve done what you can say or do.

The whole scenario describes people who resist trusting the knowledge of wise council. “I know what I know and no one else will ever change my mind.” This is the thinking of people caught up in suspicion and fear. Paranoia. Hysteria. People not wanting to know the truth or other’s perspectives. Absolute willful ignorance. Education is evil and it takes too much time away from blustering and bloviation.

So, just step away from trouble. Do what you got to do and enjoy life. God bless America.

Annie! Grab your gun. Obama wants it.

The bottom line is, the NRA just want to sell more guns. Never mind an organization promoting hunting and gun safety. Never mind “Open Carry or Stand your ground laws.” It’s not just the few individuals joining the membership but the real lobby money comes from gun and ammo manufacturers, Gun and ammo stores, and the loosely regulated gun and ammo shows.

Certainly an organization protecting the right to sell as many guns one person could carry away in his van. Perhaps even by the truck load. Never mind protecting the Second Amendment. It’s all about Sell baby Sell.

So, in order to sell unlimited guns to anyone on this earth, the NRA must attack the President by making the false claim, “Obama wants to take away your guns.” Which is absolutely a flat out lie. A smoke screen to keep regulation at bay and allow unlimited sells to anybody. Go to Fact Check dot Org and read the truth for yourself.

However, to give many congressmen hot button talking points and rally the gun toting membership, a lie or two helps. And the more outrageous the better. Get the troops rallied and up in arms(pardon the pun).

But, where the NRA shoots itself in the foot is when they sell unlimited guns and ammo to “gun runners” in Arizona who sell to Mexican cartel clients. Resulting in thousands of innocent victims murdered. Thank you NRA. Partners in crime. But hey, it’s easy big money. Gatta love it.

Obama does not want your guns. However, the NRA has misrepresented Obama’s policy on guns. Why? I guess to recruit politicians. So, keep your guns. The only meaningful gun legislation was back in 1994 when the Republican controlled congress banned machine guns. I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention, as usual.

Yes, there are all kinds of issues concerning Mit Romney’s candidacy. But the fact remains and forever will. That he is absolutely clueless and unaware of what America wants and needs from a president. He is totally blinded by ambition and fame. Just a want-to-be but never a can do person. Absolutely and willfully tuned out. Out of the real life loop. A gadfly. The essences of the Great Gatsby. Rich and stupid. Another Frat boy profligate like G W Bush. Remember?

How do I know this? It’s in Romney’s voice and what he says. However, he never remembers what he has previously said. Maybe suffering from dementia or senility. The absent minded professor. Never knowing where he is or who he is. “Just give me the title and the money and I’ll be alright.” That’s all he wants. “Just get out of my way.”

This is not leadership ability. He has not the skills to lead a nation of million. Millions in need of work. His skills are centered around fix and flip businesses. Take the money and run. Kill jobs or send them to China.

The bottom line is, Romney had no idea what is needed to put America back to work. His intent is more like what Herbert Hoover and George W Bush had perpetrated against America. Transfer the middle class wealth to the very few and rich. So, take the money and run. Run to a Swiss bank and pay no taxes. Bail out his Wall Street banking friends. Just a nare do well wanting to be President.

NO THANKS!! Not this time. Not ever.

Hey! Can we all send our savings to the Cayman Islands?

It was back in the early 1980s when Ronald Reagan required all savings banks to report interest made on personal savings accounts. Reporting it to the Federal Government and requiring all accounts to show the savers social security number. Making all accounts accountable and responsible for taxing purposes.

Prior to that time, savings and interest that was garnered was largely reported voluntarily. Leaving the tax payer to file taxes on a honor system. A system not regulated before Ronald Reagan took office in 1981.

Since then all savings account had to be attached to a savers SSN number and all savings banks had to report all interest made on personal and business accounts that would be reported on the savers Social Security Number.

So, the Internal Revenue Service would already know what interest you and others made on your bank accounts. So if your interest numbers didn’t show the same as the IRS’s, you had answers to give to the IRS agent.

Now, to the very rich, this was problematic. How was the wealthy saver to save money without paying large sums of money? Thus was born the “Off-shore” savings and investment account. Swiss bank accounts, investment accounts in the Cayman Islands, and other hidden off-shore accounts. All there to hide and savers money and thwart any tax paying requirement. Resisting paying American taxes. And, unfortunately for the United States, losing much needed tax revenue. Thus shorting the operating budget of the United States.

So, if you are rich and need to hide your money legally, send your American made money to an Off-shore account. It’s secret. It costs the investor very little to hide the money. And money stashed away in an off-shore account avoids paying American taxes.

It’s nice to be rich and avoid paying taxes but it takes money that is otherwise used to protect and secure the rich investor. Money used to train and field an American Army, firemen, policemen, coast guardsmen, and others that make the rich investor safe and secure. Thus realizing how good it is to live in the United States. Therefore, most rich live in a safe land on a free ticket to ride. Just make your money and send it to a secret place. Kind of like Hobos riding on a freight train. Riding free and clear. Just don’t get caught.

Aah! This is the life, I think.

Global warming? Not here in Santa Fe. If you don’t mind mild temps and low humidity, this is the place to live.

Right now we are in our afternoon showers mode. Low 80’s and occasional showers by four or five PM. Yes, I know it’s hard to work with. No sweat. Just wet now and then.

Open all the windows and just sit at the kitchen table in the afternoon with a tall glass of something. Something tall and frosty along with a full bowl of spicy hummus and pita chips and listen to the rain splat and drip. What more could a guy ask for. Don’t answer that! I already have an iPhone.

God save us all from Hot Buttons.

Once again, it’s the single issue voter that holds the rest of us hostage. Our economic future is put on hold because of blind religious fervor. It’s all Hot Button or nothing at all.

Many of us want and need jobs but that notion is squelched by one or two emotional issues. Issues which should be resolved in churches and not in congress. Did Jesus go to the Roman Forum or the Jewish high council to influence his own covenants or beatitudes? No! He prayed to his Father in Heaven instead.

But anyway, we are talking about Mostly people voting for issues which may never be resolved. But in the meantime, legislation to create jobs, good education, provide health benefit for the poor; all are passed over in favor of the Hot Button. And you know what they are. Cultural issues and not economic. Pushing Americans further and further into debt, bankruptcy, and homelessness. All to just support a congressional candidate who loves controversy as a smoke screen. Smoke screening the real issues troubling most Americans. Congress members thwarting real life day to day issues in favor of exchanging votes from unsuspecting religious organizations. Organizations unaware of the hidden agenda of the Congress Person. Congress people using duplicity and misrepresentation for personal gain. That and further the agenda of the congress member’s secret donors. Mostly donors with ill intent. Tax cuts for the rich, unlimited use of air and water as their own pollution dumping ground.

Hot Button people, wake up! See what is happening to you and the rest of America. We are suffering because of your blind faith. And the bottom line is, you are voting against your own interests and the interest of 99-percent of Americans. Have mercy on us. Please vote for health, education, and jobs for all Americans. God help us all and save us from these Hot Button congressmen and women.

You gotta do your homework. The test is coming soon.

I blame my fellow voters for not paying attention. It’s we the People who go or more like sometimes go to the polling place and mark our preferential ‘X.’ We step in to the voting booth or up to a kiosk with bias campaign brochures or with TV attack ads swirling in our heads. Often not really knowing the facts and not aware of candidates with hidden agendas and secret donors.

“Hmm, what to do? Who to vote for?
Rush says, trust me, vote for…
Big Ed insists I must vote for…”

Since we have about four months to go before the November 6 election, now is the time to read. Read? Yes, read.

Turn off the blizzard of bloviation on talk radio and cable TV. It just adds to the confusion. Take away the contrived emotion by reading a respected newspaper. Chicago Tribune, New York Times, USA Today, Time Magazine, and if you have to, watch C-SPAN. Do your homework. Know the issues you are interested in. Health care, education, jobs, environment, etc.

Vote with your head. Not with boiling emotions. Vote smart most of all, vote for the people. Not only do you owe it to yourself to vote smart but to vote smart for all Americans. Not for special “Hot button” interests. You’ll be glad you did. God Bless America and its 300-million plus people.

One man? One vote? What happened?

Here’s my opinion:
The biggest threat to the United States Constitution is the “Citizen’s United” decisions from our Supreme Court. Not only giving corporations “People Status” as voters but allowing unlimited money contribution to be made anonymously. Corporations or rich individuals to pour in campaign money without I.D. A grave injustice to constitutional law and threatens the “one man one vote guarantee. But, I am not the only one to make this horrific discovery.

However, here is just one ramification of this ill-conceived court decision. Where does the money come from? What one entity or corporation wishes to press its will on the general electorate? Even scarier, what foreign person or government wants to invoke its hidden agenda on the American electorate? Perhaps China? Russia? North Korea? Venezuela, Iran? Money filtering into the election process without accountability or discloser. Money indiscriminately pouring into the general media influence mix without a voters I.D. Voting without registration. Voting with a big “X” and negating the general wishes of the American voting people.

In the meantime, many American Citizens are shut out of the voting process because of not having a voting I.D. Older voters without a valid birth certificate but had voted legitimately in dozens of previous elections. People denied because of expired drivers licenses. Voters whose names were stricken from the voter registration for no apparent reason. There are hundreds of newspaper stories supporting this claim.

None the less, if you have cash and plenty of it and wish to remain anonymous, you get to vote. Money talks. Money votes big. However, Money trumps legitimate voting American citizens.

The Citizen’s United Supreme Court decision has been by far the worse decision ever handed down to the American people. Making unidentified bundles of money the biggest decision factor in current elections and elections to come. Mostly demeaning and discouraging the One Man (woman) one vote American system.
