Congress is being watched through a one-way mirror. If only they knew.

The single most people I disdain in America is, self-important Politicians. People wrapped in a shroud of smugness and pomposity. Politicians walking about with noses in the air, shoulders tossed back, and posturing in a pretense as if wearing a Superman cape. However, all brought to their knees in an instant by a derogatory Tweet if caught straying from the official party orthodoxy. Easy come. Easy go…down.

All of this aided and abetted by the so called liberal media. Only if there was such a thing. Fox and talk radio are not liberal. Much less media.

Never the less, politicians, for the most part, are subhuman and prey on innocent gullible people. People who have not the articulation to speak their own mind. Uneducated, shallow, and mostly dogma fearing evangelicals.

But anyway, I am speaking of politicians such as: John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Erick Cantor, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Lindsey Graham, Dick Cheney, Jim Inhofe, Tom Delay, Carl Rove, and the list is endless. Enough demigod bloviators to fill a smelly waste slue three times on any industrial hog farm.

If only there were some Fairy Dust or pesticide spray that could neutralize their plaster-of-Paris statuary on a pedestal personalities. Melting them down like wax feet held to the fire. Better yet, toss them all into the blazing oven of Congressional purgatory.

Anyway, the faster they go away, the better off we all shall be. America needs leadership. Not blood sucking politicians. Good night and good riddance.

What ya say bubba? Does Congress need a hearing test?

I give up on writing letters to my congressman. What I write just falls on plugged ears. It’s like verbiage swatted back with a giant badminton racket. “I don want ya freakin s’gestions!”

I kind of like the idea of the “Arab Spring.” A bunch of folks need to show up on Capitol Hill and yell and scream. Possibly a million folks or more. Yell and scream and jump up and down. Perhaps blasting really bad music and anti-congress slogans. “Sisk-boom-bee, kick in the knee. Sisk-boom-bas, kick them in the other knee!” Really get down and dirty.

Congress just reading about their really low poll numbers doesn’t seem to get their attention. They need a good poke in the eye. A kick in the butt. And for sure a quick dismissal from office.

Fire them. Get rid of all congressmen and women. A complete turnover would be best. Let them know this is not a full time job. It is not a career. It’s a duty and responsibility like serving in the military. Congress, do your job and move on.

A letter to the editor to our local paper

Letter to the Editor: 'China or bust'. Leo Byford, Tulsa. For the first time since 1945, we have seen no net jobs created in the nation. I am not a supporter of President Barack Obama, but Obama is not the only one to blame. When a government and elected officials could care less about the nation and have for years wasted tax dollars, provided taxpayer money to the good ol' boys program, and greed and votes count more than the people who have paid taxes for years, the day has finally arrived for decision making. When we have elected officials and government that reject and will not support energy products that will save electric consumers 40 percent to 50 percent on their electric bills, engines that will get 200-plus mpg, permanent solutions to waste that will stop the degrading of our waters, elected officials who promise change and change never happens, leaders who ignore the laws, a media that only publishes what it wants you to read, you get just what we have now. The question now becomes, do we change or continue to do business as usual or put a sign on the car that says, "China or bust? Letters to the editor are encouraged. .com.. I want the money to come up here, not down there.

To give some clarity to my earlier post, I must mention a few more things.  Congress is resisting to grass root jobs programs because of many things.  Almost too numerous to mention here.  But, I’ll mention most of them anyway.

First you must understand Congress and big monied interest are sharing the same bed and both are consenting adults.  Right?  Absolutely a quid pro quo relationship.  Sort of like Congress standing by the road with a sign saying, “Will work for good money.”  Doing almost anything corporations, banks, and Wall Street ask Congress to do.  And for sure in return for cold cash for reelection campaigns and a bit more.  So you know for sure money is involved in this illegitimate relationship and willing hands to take it.  Something like Congress suckling the breasts of the adulterous lobbyists.

Second of all congress and their Sugar daddy organ grinders prefer any money spent be filtered through the upper tiers of big banking and Finance.  Absolutely not down at the grass roots.  They lose control of the money that way.  Free money is slow coming if perk elating up from the roots.  It has to pass through too many hands resulting in lesser amounts of money making it to the top.    Big Biz prefers the trickle down method instead.

Let me explain the bubbling up method.  A new hire worker is paid, he or she goes to the store to buy something, a retailer receives their money from purchases, some goes to pay the retailer’s hired help and overhead, tax money is skimmed off and sent to the city or state, wholesalers get their share, and then if anything is left bankers get the remains.  Leaving a lesser amount to add to the big bankers savings account.  So, you can see why Big Money Bizzes haven’t ever liked federal program jobs down at the grass roots level.  It takes the control away from Big Finance and Banks and leaves them with less.  Less than if they got the money first.  Are you following me?  Good.  We’ll continue this discussion later.

Give a poor man a dollar and he spends it immediately

I am not an economist but I know this principle works.  It’s basic cash flow.  Money in.  Money out.  Where it goes and whom it benefits.

Now, if you gave a million dollars in tax breaks to Warren Buffett he would take it and keep it in the bank.  He basically does not need another Million.  Plus he is not going to hire anybody to do anything for him because he doesn’t need the added service.

Like wise a business would take saved money from a possible tax cut and keep it in the bank or pay off outstanding debt.  Not hiring anyone because his or her service or product demand has not yet increased.  Why hire someone to build or manufacture something when the demand is not there.  So, put it in the bank.  And certainly as we all know the lack of demand is due to a very sluggish economy.  No cash flow.

Now, unlike any of the above scenarios, if tax money is spent on hiring a man or woman to repair roads, fix bridges, build high-speed rail, extend runways, and more, that in itself puts cash immediately into the economy.  Let me explain.  Again, it’s simple applied home economics.

For an example if you watch an out of work individual who has past due debt, needs food on the table, gas in the tank, has a car needing repair, has a mortgage and insurance to pay, dental work to be done, children’s college education to pay for, and then give him or her money for hired work almost immediately the cash goes quickly into the economy.  The grocer receives more cash.  The car repairman receives more money.  The local college receives more money.  And you see the flow of immediate cash.  Right?

Then after all the above transactions taxes are collected and that money goes to more street repair and helps hire more police and fire personnel.  See how that works?  It’s almost like a pyramid effect.  Flowing quickly to people who really need the cash flow.

And if that work and cash flow is sustained, money starts flowing up.  And the process that helps to flow up is demand.  Demand for more goods and services.  Thus allowing the larger companies to hire more workers because of product or service demand.  Then the above pyramid effect repeats itself again and again.  See how that works?

Look, I am not a genius.  It doesn’t take a genius to figure this simple principle out.  And, I am sorry to admit Congress is far far below genius level.  Not able to see this principle.  Basically ignoring it all together.  Congress is more intent on reelection politics and playing games with themselves.  Please ask your congressperson to read the economic policy reports.  It’s there.  It’s simple.  Money in.  Money out.  It’s will work.

I know it was just last week those guys were shouting Jobs jobs jobs.

Remember a few weeks ago the shouting from the Republican Party about jobs?  Once again they forgot what they were doing.  Now, it back to Washington after Labor Day and dismantling the Obama administration. 

Starting with road blocking EPA laws.  Our own US Rep Sullivan is going to introduce a bill that will slow down or de-fund the EPA.  Putting you and me at risk from environmental hazards.  Is this proactive?  It more like preposterous.  It’s pure nincompoopism.

Also Eric Cantor wants to dismantle NLRB laws in order to thwart the unions.  Specifically the machinist union at Boeing. 

But anyway, the Republicans are not doing what they had agreed to do at the outset of their current congressional term.  Again, they were haranguing and harping on jobs and clearly that is not what they are doing.  They’re back to nincompooping.  Hollering a hollow cause. 

Ladies and Gentlemen, can you not see their motives.  They act instead on behalf of big money.  Big oil.  Big gas.  Well, maybe they’ve been eating too many beans.

While many people are still out of work, the Republicans are still playing games.  Time is wasting and they need to get busy creating jobs.  Please write or call your congressman and ask them to knuckle down and find America a job.

Mr. Smith, Dr. Jeckle, and Mr. Hyde.

How do we explain the metamorphic process that occurs in a person recently elected to congress?  How does Mr. Smith goes to Washington suddenly evolve into Darth Vader?  What chemistry changes in his or her brain?  Is it drugs?  Alcohol?  Facebook?  Being away from home too long?  What is it?

I’m puzzled how elected representatives from our home districts morphs from a “champion for the people,” into a stammering glassy eyed automatons when returning back from Washington.  Mostly staring into space and droning on about most nothing.  All the while avoiding answering most constituent’s questions straight out.  Thus, necessitating hand picking one’s town hall audience.  “Please no difficult questions.  Mr. Smith is under great pressure and is about to suffer a breakdown.  Treat him gently please.”

All the while we voters have no representation in Washington.  The noble congressman has turned into a drooling, prattling receiver of many monetary gifts from major corporations.  Therefore becoming a paid lobbyist himself.  Not only do we constituents have to deal with and worry about lobbyists influencing our gentle Mr. Smith, now we have to fight Mr. Smith who also is a paid representative and lobbyist of a big corporation as well.  Bought and paid for.  Indicating big money really talks.  Actually Money barks and bites.

Do you remember the story of Doctor Jeckle and Mr. Hyde?  Dr. Jeckle made up in his chemistry lab this magic serum and when ingested turn him in to a hyperventilating, red-eyed knuckle dragging monster.  Remember?  Pretty much the same as our Mr. Smith after returning from Washington.  Well then.  Maybe Dr. Jeckle could formulate a serum that would reverse the process.  Hopefully returning Darth Vader back to Mr. Smith.  Do you think this could work?  Well, maybe not.  But a good idea anyway.

Letter to the Editor: Bullied by tea party. M.K. Marlow, Broken Arrow. Finally, retribution for bad behavior: The U.S. House of Representatives, bullied by the tea party, has finally seen what can happen when you think yours is the only point of view. It took a credit rating agency to pull them up and slap them. Even after a downgrade in the rating of U.S. credit, the tea party and all of its lackeys in Congress are clueless. They will probably come back after their "deserved" vacation time, not admitting to anything having to do with their failures. I hope, and will help in any way I can, to throw them all out at the next election. This is not Democrat or Republican. This is integrity versus sleazy, "what's in it for me" behaviors. We taxpayers deserve more from people to whom we pay a pretty comfortable salary, plus major benefits. Unfortunately, it took an outside party, Standard & Poor's, to bring to our attention the ridiculousness of the behaviors of the people we actually voted for to be our representatives in Congress. See no evil. Hear no evil. Just leave your kids outside.

Warning:  If you are planning a summer trip with your children to Washington DC, be advised to bring earplugs for your children.  Beware of spicy ‘R’ rated language in the “District.”  A place where the spoken word comes in many forms.  Such as colorful street language, seasoned vernacular, old school colloquialisms, edgy expletives, and very much more.  All heard in the halls of congress.  Certainly not a kid-friendly place.

Every label imaginable is used.  Shot like cannon from one side of the house to the other.  Surely a war of words.  Words meant to destroy if not paralyze.  Shooting from the hip.  Surrounding ambush.  Lobbing hand grenades filled with shrapnel of multiple disparaging words.

Yes, welcome to congress where the House and Senate natives are engaged in gorilla warfare.  A place where no respectable human being should be found.  Signs should be posted outside warning all visitors to either stay away or wear body Armour.

Lethal words fly through the air of the chambers like bullets and arrows from a ‘B’ Western movie.  Marauding aimlessly through the congressional halls is Word slinging sheriffs and their posse of pundit.  Labeling everything that doesn’t move.  “Tax and spenders.”  “Cold hearted conservatives.”  Idiots, buffoons, clowns, blowhards, goobers, whacko, right-wingers, lefties, and the labels are spent like cartridges from a 9mm Glock.   Pop-pop-pop.  Mowing down anything or anyone who disagrees with the orthodoxy.

Parents, please don’t bring your children to Washington.  Washington is ‘R’ rated.  R for repugnant or repulsive.  Most of all ridiculous.  Beware of Dogma.
