A mad movie with madmen and woman

Did you ever see the blockbuster movie comedy “It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad World? Just a crazy wacky and most bazaar movie and first shown in the mid-1960s at exclusive showings. Starring Spencer Tracy, Jonathan Winters, Sid Caesar, Terry Thomas, Milton Berle, and many many other mad comedians. It kept me laughing until I cried and almost wet my pants.

A movie scenario it took several writers to write and eventually finished the plot. All about a gang of misfit comedians chasing after some hidden treasure. A movie filled with one liners, pratfalls, outrageous stunts, and incredible human misbehavior. Truly one of the best comedies ever filmed. You should download it from Netflix.

However, at this moment in time, there is a comedy of greater magnitude unfolding as we speak. A bazaar scenerio only Hollywood could ever write and cast but couldn’t. But, it’s most certainly not Hollywood and neither is it cast by Hollywood actors. The script is so far out and loopy, no Hollywood writer could ever come up with such a twisted plot. Insane, horrific, new invented language and a presentation filled with irony. A scenario that is more outrageous than any script Hollywood could ever dream of writing.

What is it and where can I see it? Well, it’s been unfolding as we speak almost on a weekly basis on network TV, cable, and on the Internet. It’s called the Republican Debates. Cast with the most mad Men and woman any casting service or director could ever come up with. You can’t write this kind of stuff and expect real people to believe it. You couldn’t find a more insane cast. This is by far the ultimate reality show. Millions and maybe billions of dollars couldn’t ever write and cast such a mad scenario and script.

No gathering of actors and writers has ever been assembled such as this. An event unequaled by anything Hollywood puts out. This is it! The Mad, Mad, Mad Republican Debates. Now showing on a TV or computer near you. Featuring Newt, Rick, Mit, Michele, Ron, John, and virtually a cast of thousands. All in living color and most unpredictable reality. And, to repeat, most Mad!

Yeah sure! Millions of jobs?

We send our children and grandchildren to college to learn and train for life long careers. Sending them with our blessings to college with the hopes they will easily discover their interests and capabilities. Careers like engineering, science, medicine, law, finance, education, nursing, fire and safety professionals and many other vocations that might interest them. Then at the end, eagerly pursue their dreams. Finally finding work and settling into life’s challenging road to discovery and fulfillment.

However, there might be detours ahead. If either Mit Romney or Rick Perry have their way and are elected as President, your children’s career plans just might be changed. Both Rick and Mit would rather your children be oil field workers. Or build pipelines across America. Work in jobs that are enormously difficult and dangerous. Working at jobs your children had not trained for. Mit and Rick want temporary workers to handle the grunt work for the oil companies. “Just to as I say and we will do the thinking.”

Extremely physical work that is short lived. Lasting six months or a year. Work that has no health or retirement benefits. No good outcome. Just hold this pipe and hope your fingers aren’t cut off. Good luck.

If that doesn’t suit your college grad, then maybe burger flipping would be better. How about Jiffy Lube attendant? Or Walmart cashier? Waiter? Short order cook? What do you think?

Nonetheless, these unskilled jobs are what both Rick Perry and Mit Romney wish your children can take on. Worthless, meaningless positions for a highly trained college grad. Is this what you want for your children or grandchildren? Certainly not. So, whom are you going to vote for in 2012?

Rick Perry has failed to mention, the jobs he said he created in Texas were in fact low wage or minimum wage jobs. Low or no skill. Poverty wage jobs. Short term jobs with no benefits or a chance to promote to a better or higher position.

The American people are smarter than to fall for such smoke and mirror. Rick and Mit are just blustering blowhards wanting the job of President in order to force wages down. Wages forced down so oil and coal mining will be less costly. Cheap labor is all they want. Don’t give them this chance. Demand the best for your children.

Mit! Rick! Go suck a rock!

Of course we all have heard the old saw, “Out of the frying pan and into the fire.” Right? Well, this is the juncture where we are now. At a critical crossroads.

So, if you think it’s bad now in your part of the USA, just you wait. Sure the economy is not good now. But if we change management in Washington in November 2012, you and I will experience the slogan, from the frying pan into the fire.” In other words, going from bad to worse. If you didn’t like what the Obama administration had done just try to imagine what will happen if Rick Perry and his guys take over.

Goodbye Social Security. Goodbye Medicare. Goodbye to any semblance of health care. Goodbye jobs. Goodbye unemployment insurance. Goodbye quality public education. Goodbye to collective bargaining. And, goodbye to any assistance the federal government can offer. Plus goodbye to any protective regulations. Consumer bewares. Good air and water quality, good-bye. No more minimum wage guarantee. Goodbye to any assurance of a quality and long lasting career.


Hello to your all-new confederacy. Hello to another Civil War. War between the states. Hello to a religious dominated government. Hello to loss of personal rights. Goodbye to immigration. And, hello to a work force made of single moms and unemployable military vets. And, hello to an administration that has no discernable job plan. Just wait and wait for trickle down. Cool huh?

So, do you want the all-new Perry administration, which is totally in the fire? Or, retain Obama who is struggling to climb out of the frying pan? You can either help Obama on this road to recovery or jump head first in to the hellish fires of the Perry debacle. It’s your choice.

The real motivation behind TEA partying. And it aint Booz.

In a recent issue of the New York Times, Paul Crugman says it’s the extreme politics of the TEA Party that was holding the budget negotiations hostage.  Certainly no new news here.  But anyway, who would know better than the Pulitzer Prize winner economist and NY Times columnist than Mr. Crugman.

The Money Behind the Tea Party

While it's popular fiction to say that the Tea Party is a grass-roots movement (it is neither grass roots nor a movement), it's interesting to see who is behind it. Jane Mayer has a profile in The New Yorker of the billionaire Koch brothers who have been the funds behind the nutsery.

The Kochs are longtime libertarians who believe in drastically lower personal and corporate taxes, minimal social services for the needy, and much less oversight of industry—especially environmental regulation. These views dovetail with the brothers’ corporate interests. In a study released this spring, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s Political Economy Research Institute named Koch Industries one of the top ten air polluters in the United States. And Greenpeace issued a report identifying the company as a “kingpin of climate science denial.” The report showed that, from 2005 to 2008, the Kochs vastly outdid ExxonMobil in giving money to organizations fighting legislation related to climate change, underwriting a huge network of foundations, think tanks, and political front groups. Indeed, the brothers have funded opposition campaigns against so many Obama Administration policies—from health-care reform to the economic-stimulus program—that, in political circles, their ideological network is known as the Octopus.

In a statement, Koch Industries said that the Greenpeace report “distorts the environmental record of our companies.” And David Koch, in a recent, admiring article about him in New York, protested that the “radical press” had turned his family into “whipping boys,” and had exaggerated its influence on American politics. But Charles Lewis, the founder of the Center for Public Integrity, a nonpartisan watchdog group, said, “The Kochs are on a whole different level. There’s no one else who has spent this much money. The sheer dimension of it is what sets them apart. They have a pattern of lawbreaking, political manipulation, and obfuscation. I’ve been in Washington since Watergate, and I’ve never seen anything like it. Rick Perry and his running mate Robert E Lee

The late Molly Ivans once wrote, any governor from Texas shouldn’t ever be president.  Just as a rule of thumb.  It just works out best that way. 

Our recent republican presidential entry, Governor Rick Perry, is not any exception.  Gov. Perry just last year wanted Texas to succeed from the Union.  Is this good government?  Is this patriotism?  I guess he just didn’t like America’s politics.  He would rather go it alone and withdraw from the United States.  I suppose forfeiting all federal grants, federal monies,  and federal facilities.  Facilities like Fort Hood, services like border patrols, entitlements like Social Security payments, grants for Interstate highway funds, and R and D facility like NASA HQ and any other federally sponsored entity.

I can only conjecture if he did become President, his first item of business would be to release the other confederate states from the Union as well.  Then reestablishing the Confederate dollar.  And finally restoring slavery.  My goodness what a horrible man.  Returning America back to the 1860s.

Goodness gracious!  Is this the guy we want running the United States?  The United States wouldn’t be united anymore.  And I can only guess, returning the north and south to Civil War.  Do we want a guy like this in the Whitehouse?  No no no.  Not on a bet.
