I need a dozen of those B-1 bombers and a hundred body bags.

I salute and give honor to all military service members. To the living and to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. And, in return for such great valor and risk, America should provide every benefit and opportunity to each service member. Health care, education, and most of all recognition and appreciation.

Where I draw the line is why our military youngsters are being sent abroad to fight needless and contrived wars. Wars against countries who are not a meaningful threat to America. Countries without a organized standing army and with little means to equip such. We are sending tens of thousands of service members along with huge supply units jut to fight rag tag tribes who mostly live in caves. Is this our enemy? Mostly guerilla fighters and terrorists on the run. Desperados who could be contained with small special forces and drones.

However, war is a business. Or at least some members of congress think. Building and selling weaponry is job number one. Job one for congressmen and women whose state has large military contractors. Congress people promising substantial contracts to contractors who in turn support the congress person. Remember, scratch my back and…

When will we ever learn? War is just the excuse to make commerce. Many wars could be avoided and many service members lives’ could be saved. But, congress feels warring hides the real motivation. Motivation to make big bucks for contractors and congress members. It’s a horrific vicious cycle. One begets the other. And congress stands to gain the most.

God forgive us for we know not what we do.

And in the meantime, lets vote out congress. And replace them with honest hard working and caring people. Enough with war. Send the contractors home. Let them build solar panels instead. Many moms and dads would rather have their precious children home and alive. Not off to some hellish battle only to support military contractors and ill intended congress people. Holy cow! Stop this nonsense!
