There’s some unfinished business here. Yes, I would like to exhume the ashes of Steve Jobs and let him know there is still work needed on the iPhone. The concept of the iPhone is good but it still needs a little tweeking. Maybe a lot of tweeking. Perhaps needing a good hammer.
Just when you think the jobsPhone is working a okay, it then takes on a mind of its own. Maybe taking on the in-your-face persona of Jobs himself. “I’ll work when I want to.” Or, “I’ll not work when I feel like it.” The iPhone completely goes mute for no reason. The screen goes blank without warning. It has a tendency to fixate on one thing regardless of how many swipes or taps you make and then not move on regardless. What’s going on here? Is Jobs in my phone again? Has he not left this earth yet?
How can a inanimate piece of metal and glass be so recalcitrant? If you were to read Job’s autobiography, you would think the iPhone is controlled by Jobs himself. Never agreeing, always wanting something else, and forever changing its mind. Resisting and ridiculous.
Here! Take this freaking thing back. Where’s my old “Flip-phone?” Better yet, where’s my landline? I want my life and sanity back.

I'm smart enough without it.
Even though my brother had one, I told him I would not buy an iPhone. I didn’t want one. Too much of a slow learning curve. Don’t have the time to mess with the so-called smart phone. I don’t need a phone that’s smart. I’m smart enough.
Oh, really? However on Christmas day I got an iPhone. Worse yet, I asked for it. So my daughters and wife got me one. But, I can’t explained why I changed my mind about iPhones. And, I asked for the dummer iPhone. The iPhone 3GS. Gonna start small and work up the 4S.
Never the less, I have it and am learning it. And yes, it is definitely a learning curve. Volumes and volumes of manual. Steve Jobs must have been the younger nerdy antagonist to we dummer senior protagonists. He’s still in our collective faces. Saying, “You gotta have it!”

My dearest friend Steve Jobs? No, not really.
I’m reading the Steve Jobs book. Certainly a man who came into this world with an attitude. Good or bad? Not really sure.
However, he certainly would not be counted among my friends had I known him. Growing up Okie in L A, I was very much put off by “Wise Asses.” Just did not want to be around them. Always thought they were just there to take advantage of any situation just to prove how smart they were. And, this is the impression I get from Jobs.
Certainly a guy with measurable intelligence but lacking compassion and understanding. Some might call him a jerk. I just might as well. Please excuse my lack of regard for the dead.
Anyway, I have a ways to go in reading his book. And, I must admit it’s a struggle. Nonetheless, I shall finish the book. Happy reading and Happy Holidays.
