I think we are back to taxation without representation maybe.

If congress has its way, then not too far down the road America will have an economy much like present day Mexico’s. An economy and infrastructure falling into ruin. Crumbling roads, bridges and no one left to police and teach our nation. A has been society following the footsteps of ancient Rome.

All this because congress was(and still is) fiddling while America’s economy crashes and burned. And only because Congress does not want to allow any meaningful legislation with may have President Obama’s endorsement. However, congress has no worthwhile and meaningful legislation to offer as an alternative. Nothing. Just stop Obama. Which is to say, Congress wants to stop America. Stop you and me. Just resist and continue to press for tax cuts for the rich and get rid of any helpful consumer protection.

Believe me, Congress hates America and the American life style. The leadership wants to dismantle what we Americans have come to expect as good government and good legislation. Legislation depending on all to pitch in. Share and share alike. All for one and one for all. The America World War II was fought for. The America who sent men to the moon. The same America that became the World’s leading Technologist. An America willing to sacrifice to help it’s poor, homeless, school children, and it’s elderly. Benevolent, bold, and willing to dig in for the sake of all Americans.

Tell your congressman or woman to think America and get back to work. Tell them to put down their partisan demagoguery and pick up the mantle of freedom and a prosperous and strong America. They have obviously forgotten who they represent. Too many congress members have been lured away from their first and foremost representative duties. Representing you and me in the halls of congress. Instead congress has been doing the bidden of special interests. Interests not in the best interest of the American people. Distracted by big money delivered by the buckets full by lobbyist and Big Business. Meaning they don’t represent us. But interests working against good government. Special interest who’s only intent is to gather in every last dime from the poor and middle class. Money is their only goal. Leaving America to fall apart.

Let’s only hope we Americans can stop this and stop this now. Get rid of your distracted Congress person. Hire and vote for a reputable person who’s only intent is to follow your instructions and get back to rebuilding America. The America we once knew and loved. God Bless America.

To no-no-no him is to not love-love-love him.

Inspiring, refocusing, challenging, and getting back to the basics of hard work. That’s the message I got from President Obama’s State of the Union address last night. But, I am afraid the Republican leadership didn’t see it that way.

It’s not that the ‘Publicans’ could challenge all of Obama’s proposals with meaningful house and senate bills but rather the ‘Pubs’ are still in a resisting mode with no substantive legislation as an alternative. Their party motto is still very much “NO!” No serves them well. Just sit on it. “Inertia are us.”

“Yes we can” makes the Republicans look bad. Very bad. Disallowing any legislation that gives Obama a positive appearance is bad for Republican candidates. Republicans must keep Obama at bay until the general election in November. No matter how beneficial legislation could be for America. It’s most advantageous for Republicans to put on the legislative breaks. Resist. Say no. It’s like telling an old granny woman she can’t vote because she has no ID. Democracy being turned away to advantage the FEW.

So, in the mean time nothing gets done. Good legislation goes wanting. Congress is thwarting good government only to defeat Obama and put a Republican in the Whitehouse. Wanting to regain control for control sake only. All at the expense of the greater good. Greater good be dammed should be the Republican motto. “One percent are us!”

But anyway, Obama will have to keep the heat on. Hold congress’s feet to the legislative fire. Get it done! Done now! I and others want to hear bully bully bully from the presidential pulpit. Obama! Get it done!

Nada senor. Congress has done nada. Zip zero!

So far, the current Congress is the biggest “Do Nothing Congress” since the Truman administration. This is according to the latest statistical research. Not much has been accomplished since 2010. Barely much has happened. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. Blank. Just an empty space. Batting .000.

How did this happen? Or, should I say, how did this not happen? What went wrong? How is it that nil was accomplished? Or, unaccomplished? The congressional records only have two and a half pages in its logs. All the invocations, flag pledges, and break for lunch motions and seconds going back to Jan 2011. That’s it. Nothing else. Fade to black.

How could it be that four hundred plus U S Representatives couldn’t get anything done? Was there not a quorum? No House bills to debated and vote on? Could they have been all asleep? Maybe more like out to lunch? Drunk under their desks? What?!

There are no excuses. The zeros speak for themselves. You cannot deny numbers or the lack there of

I think we might have a good case here for an all-new congress. Empty out the house and hire a new batch of Reps. Start all over again from scratch. What do you think?

Congress is madly driven by inertia

The moment the 2008 elected congress took office Jan 2009, all began their reelection campaigns. All were planning their campaign finances just after being sworn in. It was like the starter gun was shot in the air. They’re off!. Never mind previous campaign promises. Never mind assisting with reforms promises as lauded to their constituency. Just make sure reelection campaign funds are in place and just try not to be noticed. Fly low and come out swinging two years from now.

In other words, this is the congress newly elected President Obama had to work and deal with in his first term in office. Resisting, unfocused, and playing to each congressman’s own lobby constituency. Go where the money is and stay away from controversy. Play it safe. When in doubt, just vote no.

So, when these misguided polls come out each week stating how Obama is weak and can’t get the job done, just think Congress. Congress was the roadblock the president had to hurdle. It’s the roadblock that turned good reform ideas into watered down pottage. And, it has only gotten worse since the 2010 mid-term election. Congress still resisting and planning for their Congressional reelection. Thus, a “Do nothing Congress.”

So when you read these polls always look at congress. Congress is the group of nare do wells that created all this inactivity. Congress has sat on their collective hands. Just sitting around waiting for the next election. Could you imagine a football game played with the same rules? “Just hold the ball and hope no one gets hurt.” Buzz!!! “Take these do-nothing guys off the field!!!
